The Siemens 3VA2163-6HK32-0AA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 63 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a 3-pole configuration and an electronic trip unit ETU340. The ETU340 release is an electronic overcurrent trip with adjustable settings (L, S, I, G) — that's long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and ground-fault protection. This matters because you can dial in coordination with downstream breakers without swapping trip units.
The 86 mm depth leaves room behind the panel door for wiring gutters or a second row of breakers. No special adapter plate needed for a standard 600 V switchboard.
Breaking capacity across voltages
Interrupting capacity drops as voltage rises: 242 kA at 240 V, 187 kA at 415 V and 440 V, 121 kA at 500 V, and 3.7 kA at 690 V. On a 480 V system with typical transformer sizes (up to 2500 kVA), 187 kA is more than enough for most service entrances.
