What it is and what it does
The Siemens 5SL4308-7CC is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker from the 5SL4 Basic Devices family, rated 8 A with a C-trip curve and a 10 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC. The C-curve means it trips between 5 and 10 times rated current — standard for general-purpose protection of inductive and lighting loads where inrush is moderate. The 10 kA short-circuit capacity at 400 V is enough for most sub-distribution boards in commercial and light industrial installations, provided the prospective fault current at the point of installation stays under that limit.
