What the Ratings Mean for Fit
The 5SL4413-6: The 13 A rating is at 30 °C ambient; it derates to 12.31 A at 40 °C, 11.96 A at 45 °C, and 11.2 A at 55 °C. If your panel runs warm, size the load accordingly — the 13 A nameplate is only good at the lower end of the operating range. The B curve trips between 3× and 5× In, so a motor starting surge that hits 50 A for a few cycles won't nuisance-trip it, but a hard short will clear fast. The 10 kA SCCR at 400 V means it safely interrupts faults up to that level without cascading upstream. Mechanical life is 10 000 cycles typical — fine for a distribution board, not a switching duty.
Mounting and Integration
Four modular width units (72 mm wide) snap onto standard DIN rail. Depth is 76 mm, installation depth 70 mm. Mounting position is any — no derating for upside-down or sideways mounting. IP20 with connected conductors, so it's for inside a closed panel, not a washdown zone. Sealable, halogen-free, silicon-free — good for environments where outgassing or contamination matters. Overvoltage category III, pollution degree 2, so it's rated for fixed-installation distribution boards.
