The 63 A AC-rated current is the continuous load it can carry under normal conditions — sized for a sub-main or feeder circuit, not a final branch. The 30 mA trip threshold is standard for personnel protection (shock/arc-flash mitigation) per IEC 60364. AC-type means it detects sinusoidal residual currents only; if your load has pulsed DC (VFDs, UPS, EV chargers), you'd need an A or B type instead. Instantaneous design means no intentional time delay — it trips within a cycle, which is correct for shock protection but may cause nuisance tripping on loads with high inrush leakage (e.g., long cable runs, surge suppressors).
