B-curve 20 A, dual-rated breaking capacity, railway-spec MCB
Breaking capacity is dual-rated: 10 kA per EN 60898 for standard residential/commercial duty, and 20 kA per IEC 60947-2 for industrial installations where higher fault current is expected — the 20 kA figure is the one to use for panel SCCR coordination. The B-curve (3-5× In magnetic trip) is the right choice for resistive or general-purpose loads where nuisance tripping from inrush is not a concern — it clears faster than a C-curve on moderate overloads, which matters when selectivity with downstream fuses or smaller MCBs is part of the coordination study.
Rated 20 A at 35 °C ambient; derate to 19.04 A at 40 °C, 18.54 A at 45 °C, 18.04 A at 50 °C, 17.5 A at 55 °C, and 16.96 A at 60 °C — a continuous 15 % loss from 35 °C to 60 °C that must be factored into the panel thermal budget. Operating temperature range spans -40 °C to 75 °C, with humidity limits of 95 % up to 55 °C, 55 % up to 70 °C, and 35 % at 75 °C — relevant for outdoor or unconditioned enclosures.
Mountable in any position; quick-assembly system with combined top and bottom terminals speeds wiring. Touch protection is integrated, and the unit is sealable for tamper-proof installations.
