The 5SY4325-5: But the same breaker also carries a 20 kA rating under IEC 60947-2, which is the industrial standard for panel-level fault interruption. For DC circuits, the interrupting capacity is 15 kA at 60 V per IEC 60947-2, and under UL 1077 it is 5 kA — useful if the panel also sees North American supplementary protection requirements.
Type A trip: when it matters
The tripping characteristic is Type A, which means the magnetic trip threshold is between 2 and 3 times In. That is tighter than a Type B (3–5× In) or Type C (5–10× In). Type A is specified for semiconductor protection or circuits with sensitive electronics where you need fast magnetic trip on moderate overcurrents without nuisance tripping from inrush. It is less common than B or C, so if the BOM calls for Type A, this is the exact fit.
Physical fit and DIN-rail integration
The fastening system uses a quick-assembly clip — no tools needed to snap it on or off. The terminals are combined (top and bottom), accepting both busbar and wire.
Environmental and compliance specs
The breaker is sealable, which allows panel builders to lock the toggle position after commissioning.
