Siemens SENTRON 5SY4408-8 is a 4-pole miniature circuit breaker with D tripping characteristic, rated 8 A at 400 V AC. Breaking capacity 10 kA and 20 kA. Ambient temperature range −40 to +70 °C with derating above 55 °C as per the manufacturer's curve. IP20 protection with conductors connected, touch protection on terminals. Halogen-free and silicon-free throughout.
Mounting and connections
Width 72 mm (4 width units), height 90 mm, depth 76 mm. Mounts on DIN rail via the quick-assembly system; any mounting position allowed. Installation depth 70 mm for panel clearances. Terminal accepts solid or stranded conductors from 0.75 to 35 mm². Combined top and bottom terminals allow through-wiring (loop-through). Sealable cover for anti-tamper applications.
