Mounting & wiring
The 5SY4408-5: Four width units (72 mm) on the DIN rail, depth 76 mm, installation depth 70 mm. Terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 0.75 to 35 mm² — a wide enough clamp to handle both control wiring and power feed-through in a single box. Mounts in any position and seals for tamper-proof installations. IP20 with conductors connected.
Rated ambient temperature from -40 °C to +70 °C, storage down to -40 °C and up to +75 °C — enough margin for an outdoor panel in a desert PV plant or a cold storage warehouse. Halogen-free and silicon-free moulding minimize corrosion risk in sealed enclosures.
