Railway-grade construction and environment
This MCB is halogen-free and silicon-free, which matters in confined railway equipment bays where outgassing from a fault can damage nearby electronics or create corrosive conditions. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6 is ±1 mm at 5 to 25 Hz and 50 m/s² at 25 to 150 Hz — that's the kind of spec a trackside panel sees from passing trains or a locomotive cabinet sees underway. It mounts in any position via the quick assembly system (snap-on DIN rail), occupies 2 modular width units (36 mm), and has a depth of 76 mm with an installation depth of 70 mm. The IP20 rating with connected conductors is standard for panel-internal gear — not for wet locations, but fine inside a climate-controlled cabinet. Pollution degree 3 and overvoltage category III confirm it's rated for the industrial environment, not just clean office power. Operating temperature spans -40 °C to 75 °C, with humidity derating: max 95% RH up to 55 °C, tapering to 35% at 75 °C. That covers everything from a frozen January yard to a hot summer engine room.
Sourcing and lifecycle
Supplementary devices can be installed (the product extension is supported), so you can add auxiliary contacts, shunt trips, or alarm switches without changing the base breaker. The neutral conductor is switched (1P+N), which is required in some railway and industrial schemes where the neutral must be disconnected for isolation.
