C-curve 2-pole MCB for panel builders
The Siemens SENTRON 5SY7263-7 is a C-curve miniature circuit breaker rated 400 V AC (440 V multi- or single-phase) and 60 V DC (max 72 V). Two poles, no neutral switching. Tripping characteristic C means it holds 5–10× rated current before instantaneous trip — standard for motor and lighting circuits where inrush is moderate. Breaking capacity hits 15 kA per EN 60898, 20 kA per IEC 60947-2, and 5 kA per UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No.235. That 20 kA figure at 400 V AC is the one that matters for industrial panel coordination; it safely interrupts faults up to that level without cascading upstream.
Mounting and integration
Snaps onto DIN rail via the quick assembly system — 2 modular width units (36 mm wide). Mounting position any. Depth 76 mm, installation depth 70 mm. Combined terminals top and bottom accept supply from either side. Sealable, so panel builders can lock the toggle position after commissioning. IP20 with connected conductors; pollution degree 3 (conductive deposits expected). Overvoltage category III, suitable for fixed installation downstream of the main distribution board.
