What this MCB covers
The Siemens 5SY7401-7 is a 4-pole SENTRON miniature circuit breaker with a C-trip curve, rated 15 kA breaking capacity under IEC/EN 60898-1 and 50 kA under IEC 60947-2. It also carries a UL 1077 listing at 5 kA (AC). That dual-standard coverage means it fits both European panel builds (IEC 60898-1 for domestic/commercial, IEC 60947-2 for industrial) and North American supplementary-protection applications — one part number for a mixed-spec BOM. If your line sees high inrush from drives or welders, you'd want a D curve; for purely resistive loads, a B curve. This one splits the difference for general industrial and mechanical-engineering duty.
Four modular-width units (4 MW, 72 mm wide) on a DIN rail — snap-on quick-assembly system. Mounting position any orientation. The sealable design lets you lock the toggle position after commissioning — useful for a panel that must stay in a known state during maintenance.
At DC, it breaks 15 kA at 60 V and max operating voltage 72 V.
