What this motor delivers on the line
The ECMA-L11830SS: Feedback is a 20-bit incremental encoder, which sets the position loop resolution at roughly 1.3 arc-seconds per count — fine enough for indexing tables and rotary knife registration, but absolute position has to be re-established on power-up because the feedback is incremental, not absolute.
Mechanical fit and shaft interface
Shaft option 3 in this code resolves to 42 mm diameter, with key way per ECMA-L convention; the alternate shaft (option 7) drops to 14 mm for non-keyed coupling — the BOM line must match the driven element or the coupling bore won't seat. Rotor inertia is 54.95 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m², which puts this build in the medium-to-high inertia band — the matched drive has to be sized for the acceleration current this inertia draws at the target cycle time, not just the steady-state 3.0 kW. Regenerative energy handling matters on this frame: capacitance absorbs 42.43 J per regen event with another 67.93 J from empty-load deceleration at 3000 r/min to stop — exceeding that on a vertical-axis emergency stop will fault the drive unless an external regen resistor is fitted.
