What the enclosure rating means for fit
The FRN001AR1L-4U: The NEMA Type 12 enclosure (equivalent to IP52) is the key fit constraint for this drive. It is not rated for washdown, outdoor rain, or hose-spray — those call for a NEMA 4/4X or IP66 variant. For a cold-storage or freezer-room install, a NEMA 12 enclosure is acceptable in the machine room or control panel outside the freezer envelope, but not inside a washdown zone or a condensation-prone refrigerated space. If the drive must live inside a cold box, you need the FRENIC-HVAC variant with a NEMA 4X or IP66-rated enclosure.
