The FRN003AR1L-5U: The Type 12 enclosure is self-contained — no separate cabinet required for the drive itself, but incoming line and motor connections land at the bottom knockouts. Verify gland-plate fill factor if running multiple conductors through a single opening; the enclosure seal is compromised if the knockout is oversized or left open. Mount the drive vertically on a flat surface with clearance above and below for convection airflow — the FRENIC-HVAC series relies on natural convection, not forced fan cooling, so blocked vents shorten capacitor life.
