The OPC-PRT2 is a current-production PROFINET communications module for the Frenic-Mega and Frenic-HVAC drive series. It mounts to the drive as a device-level option, adding two RJ45 ports with an integrated 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet switch for daisy-chaining or line topology without an external switch.
The two RJ45 ports with built-in switch mean you can wire the drive into a PROFINET ring or line without consuming an extra managed-switch port. The 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX support covers standard industrial Ethernet speeds; no gigabit overhead here, so keep the backbone at 100 Mbit or below. The module is a device-level option — it snaps onto the drive, not a separate panel mount — so the footprint is whatever the Frenic-Mega or Frenic-HVAC frame already occupies.
