Controller fit and key spec
The Fuji Electric PXF4ACC2-FVSA1 is a self-tuning 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) compact temperature and process controller with a 50 ms sampling speed. That 50 ms loop rate means the controller updates its PID output every 50 milliseconds — fast enough for thermal processes with moderate dynamics like ovens, extruder zones, or packaging seal bars, without the overshoot risk of a slower controller on a fast-acting heater.
What the 50 ms sampling means for validation
A 50 ms sampling speed on a 1/16 DIN controller is the key parameter for IQ/OQ qualification: it defines the minimum interval at which the controller can detect a process deviation. For a pharmaceutical GMP application (sterilizer, incubator, or freeze-dryer shelf), that sample rate must be fast enough to capture the thermal transient within the process tolerance. The PXF4ACC2-FVSA1's self-tuning algorithm also means the PID constants are auto-derived during commissioning — but the validation protocol should verify that the auto-tune sequence completes within the process hold period and that the resulting coefficients are stored under change control, not overwritten on a power cycle.
