What it is and what the 50 ms sampling means for your loop
The Fuji Electric PXF4ACP2-JVJA1 is a self-tuning 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) compact temperature and process controller with a 50 ms sampling speed. A 50 ms sampling rate means the controller updates its control output every 50 milliseconds — fast enough to catch thermal transients in most plastic extrusion, packaging, and oven zones without overshoot, but not intended for sub-cycle power control on fast electric heaters where a 10 ms or faster sampler is needed. For a typical PID loop on a 1–2 second thermal time-constant load, 50 ms gives the controller enough headroom to compute a new output value before the next sample arrives.
Integration — panel cutout and wiring context
The 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) form factor fits the standard panel cutout used across Fuji PXF and competing PID controllers. Mounts into a single-unit cutout; no DIN-rail adapter is standard on this size. The 50 ms sampling speed is fixed — the controller does not offer a selectable sample rate, so verify that the process variable (thermocouple, RTD, or 4–20 mA transmitter) settles within that window to avoid noise aliasing into the PID calculation.
