What the 50ms sampling means for your process
A 50ms sampling period means the controller reads the input and updates the output twenty times per second. That's fast enough for most thermal loops — electric heaters, infrared lamps, or small gas burners — where the process time constant is measured in seconds. It won't oversample a slow oven, but it gives headroom if you later tune for a faster-acting zone.
