The PXF4APC2-FVMA1 is a self-tuning 1/16 DIN (48 x 48mm) compact temperature and process controller from Fuji Electric. The 1/16 DIN form factor fits a standard panel cutout, so it drops into existing enclosures without reworking the gland plate or adding a DIN-rail adapter. Self-tuning means the PID parameters are set automatically on startup — no manual gain scheduling for a zone that cycles between idle and full load.
Integration notes
Panel cutout is the standard 1/16 DIN (45 x 45mm). The controller depth is shallow enough that it clears most backpanel wiring troughs — no need to relocate terminal blocks for clearance. Spring-cage terminals accept 0.2–2.5 mm² solid or ferruled stranded; strip length 8 mm avoids whiskers under the cage. The 50ms sampling speed is fast enough for a conveyor oven zone or a hot-runner manifold, but not for a high-speed extrusion die where 10ms or faster is typical. For most thermal processes — reflow ovens, packaging seal bars, plastic injection barrels — the 50ms loop keeps overshoot under 1% after the self-tuning cycle completes.
