What it is and what it does
The Fuji Electric PXF4APS2-JBSA1 is a self-tuning 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) compact temperature and process controller with a 50 ms sampling speed. The 1/16 DIN form factor (48 x 48 mm panel cutout) is the standard footprint for a single-loop controller; it fits a dense panel layout where every millimeter of DIN rail or cutout space is allocated.
Panel integration note
The 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) panel cutout is a universal standard — the controller slides into the same hole as any other 1/16 DIN unit, so a swap or retrofit does not require re-punching the panel. Self-tuning PID reduces commissioning time: the controller learns the process dynamics and sets its own P, I, and D terms rather than requiring a manual Ziegler-Nichols calculation.
