What the 50 ms sampling means for your loop
The PXF4APY2-0VMA1 is a self-tuning 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) compact temperature and process controller with a 50 ms sampling speed. That 50 ms update rate means the controller can track fast thermal transients — plastic injection mold temperature, small-zone reflow ovens, or thin-film extrusion — where a standard 100–250 ms controller would lag and overshoot. The self-tuning algorithm adjusts PID coefficients on startup, so you don't need a separate autotune cycle or manual Ziegler-Nichols calculation.
Panel fit and integration
The 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) panel cutout is the standard small-controller footprint — same as every Fuji PXF, Omron E5CC, or Watlow EZ-ZONE PM. The 50 ms sampling speed is fast enough for closed-loop control on electric heaters up to 15 A SSR-driven loads; for faster processes (infrared lamps, cartridge heaters below 3 mm diameter) you would want a 10 ms or faster controller. Panel depth is standard for the class — fits a 100 mm deep enclosure without right-angle connectors.
