What it is and where it fits
The PXF4APY2-JBSA1 is a self-tuning 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) compact temperature and process controller from Fuji Electric's PXF series. Its 50 ms sampling speed makes it suited for applications where the process variable changes faster than a standard 100–250 ms controller can track — think thin-film extrusion, rapid thermal cycling in packaging, or small-zone furnace control where overshoot costs scrap.
Panel integration note
The 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) cutout is the standard panel-mount footprint for compact controllers. Panel thickness up to 5 mm is typical; the clamp mechanism on the PXF series secures from the rear. Allow 100 mm depth behind the panel for the housing and terminal block — shallower than a 1/4 DIN unit, which matters when retrofitting into a crowded gland plate or a shallow enclosure lid.
