For a process with known thermal lag (ovens, extruders), the auto-tune converges in a few cycles and holds tighter steady-state control than fixed-gain controllers.
Panel fit and loop integration
The 1/4 DIN (96 x 96mm) cutout is the standard panel-mount footprint for temperature controllers — it fits the same hole as a Fuji PXF series predecessor or a competing Omron/TAIE/Yokogawa 1/4 DIN unit. The depth behind the panel accommodates the screw-terminal block for thermocouple, RTD, and analog I/O wiring.
