What the 50 ms sampling means for the loop
A 50 ms sampling rate means the controller updates its PID output every 50 ms — fast enough to track thermal transients in plastic injection barrel zones or reflow oven profiles, but not intended for sub-cycle power control on a VFD output. The self-tuning function auto-calculates PID gains on startup or on demand, which cuts commissioning time on a multi-zone oven or furnace where manual Ziegler-Nichols tuning would take hours.
