Sampling speed sets the loop performance ceiling
The PXF9ABY2-0BVA1: The 50 ms sampling speed on this 1/4 DIN controller catches thermal transients that a standard 100-200 ms controller would alias into the PID output — relevant for injection molding, extrusion barrel zones, or any process where the thermocouple sees a fast ramp and the controller must respond before overshoot settles in. Self-tuning algorithm means the autotune cycle runs on first power-up: it applies a step change to the output, measures the process reaction curve, and sets P, I, D, and integral time constants without a manual Ziegler-Nichols calculation. The 50 ms sample rate gives the autotune routine enough resolution to resolve a first-order-plus-deadtime model on processes with time constants down to about 2 seconds.
Panel cutout and installation fit
1/4 DIN (96 x 96 mm) panel cutout is the standard size across Fuji Electric's PXF series and most competitive 1/4 DIN controllers — no adapter plate needed for a direct swap into an existing cutout. Depth behind the panel is typical for this class at roughly 100 mm; allow clearance for the screw-terminal block and any optional communications module that plugs into the rear slot.
