Panel fit and loop update rate
The PXF9ACE2-FVVA1 occupies a standard 1/4 DIN cutout — 96 x 96 mm panel opening, the same footprint as every other 1/4 DIN controller on the market. If your panel layout is already ganged for that size, this drops in without reworking the gland plate or drilling a new hole. Sampling speed is 50 ms — that is 20 updates per second on the control loop. For thermal processes with fast response zones (injection-mold cavity temperature, small-oven zones, hot-runner control), that rate catches the transient before it overshoots. Slower controllers at 100 ms or 250 ms will let the same transient settle a half-cycle later, which matters when the process window is tight.
Self-tuning and process adaptation
The self-tuning algorithm identifies the process dynamics (gain, time constant, dead time) during the first heat-up or on a step-change command and sets the PID coefficients without manual loop tuning. For a panel builder commissioning multiple zones, this cuts the per-zone tuning time from hours to one heat-up cycle. Because it is a process controller, not just a temperature controller, the same unit handles pressure, flow, or level inputs from a 4-20 mA or 0-10 V transmitter — the self-tuning works on any linear process variable, not only thermocouple or RTD signals.
