For a typical thermocouple or RTD input with a time constant of 1–5 seconds, this controller can resolve the process variable at least 20 times per thermal time constant — adequate for most temperature loops in plastics extrusion, packaging heat-seal, or chemical batch reactors without aliasing or output chatter.
