50 ms sampling in a 1/4 DIN package
The PXF9APC2-FVCA1: That sampling rate means the controller updates its PID output every 50 milliseconds — fast enough to catch thermal transients in a reactor jacket or extruder barrel before the process drifts outside the control band.
What the 50 ms sampling buys in a process loop
A 50 ms sampling period corresponds to a 20 Hz update rate. For a typical thermocouple or RTD input with a time constant of 1–5 seconds, this controller can resolve the process variable at least 20 times per thermal time constant — adequate for most temperature loops in plastics extrusion, packaging heat-seal, or chemical batch reactors without aliasing or output chatter. The 1/4 DIN form factor (96 x 96 mm panel cutout) fits standard panel punch patterns. The self-tuning algorithm adjusts PID gains on startup or setpoint change, reducing the manual tuning time a panel builder or field tech would otherwise spend on each loop.
