What this controller does on the line
The Fuji Electric PXR3-RCY2-5V0A1 is an advanced, self-tuning 1/32 DIN temperature and process controller that carries 16 ramp / soak segments for multi-step thermal profiles. The self-tuning algorithm adjusts PID parameters during the first run, so you don't have to manually calculate gains for a new oven, extruder barrel, or packaging-seal bar. The 1/32 DIN faceplate fits a standard panel cutout — useful when retrofitting a failed controller into a crowded cabinet without enlarging the hole.
The 1/32 DIN form factor (roughly 48 x 24 mm panel cutout) is the smallest standard controller size — it fits where a 1/16 DIN or 1/4 DIN won't, but the terminal spacing is tighter, so use a fine-tip screwdriver and ferruled stranded wire (0.2–1.5 mm²) to avoid bridging adjacent terminals. The 16 ramp/soak segments let you program a multi-zone thermal cycle (preheat, soak, ramp to setpoint, hold, cool) without an external PLC or sequencer; each segment can be a time-based or event-triggered step. Self-tuning means the controller measures the process response on the first run and sets P, I, and D values automatically — a time-saver on a new tool, but if the process has long dead-time or non-linear gain, you may want to lock the values after the first tune and disable re-tuning.
