What this controller does in a panel
The PXR3-TCC2-4VTA1 is an advanced, self-tuning 1/32 DIN temperature and process controller with 16 ramp / soak segments. That 1/32 DIN faceplate (about 24 x 48 mm) fits tight panel cutouts where a standard 1/16 DIN won't — common in multi-zone reflow ovens, packaging seal bars, or lab environmental chambers where every millimeter of panel real estate is allocated. The self-tuning algorithm means it learns the thermal response of the load (oven, bath, extruder barrel) during the first run and sets PID gains automatically, so you don't need a laptop or a tuning manual to commission it.
What the 16 ramp/soak segments mean for your process
Sixteen ramp/soak segments let you program a multi-step thermal profile — ramp up at a set rate, soak at temperature, ramp down, repeat — without an external programmer. That's enough for a typical solder reflow profile (preheat, soak, reflow, cool) or a cure cycle for epoxy or powder coating. If your process needs more than 16 segments, you'd step up to the PXR4 or PXR5 series; for most single-zone batch processes, 16 is sufficient.
