What this controller brings to the panel
The Fuji Electric PXR9-RAY1-GV0A1 is a 96 x 96 mm temperature and process controller built for a standard panel cutout — that 96 mm dimension is the square hole you need to punch, so verify your panel door has the clearance before you open the gland plate. It accepts a thermocouple (Type F) input and drives a relay contact output, which means the control loop is isolated from the heater contactor by a dry contact — no shared ground loop to chase. The high/low 2-point alarm gives you independent setpoints for over-temp and under-temp annunciation, useful for oven or bath applications where a single deviation alarm won't cover both directions.
Signal path and noise considerations
Thermocouple signals are millivolt-level and noise-sensitive. The Type F input on this controller expects a grounded or ungrounded thermocouple junction; if you're running the lead through a VFD cabinet, keep the twisted-shield pair away from the drive's DC bus bars and ground the shield at the controller end only. The relay output is a mechanical contact, so it switches the load directly — no SSR gate leakage to worry about, but the mechanical life cycle matters if the heater cycles frequently.
