Regenerative blower for continuous-duty air movement
The VFZ401A-5W is a FUJI ELECTRIC regenerative ring compressor — a three-phase, 575V AC, 60 Hz unit rated at 1.4 hp with a full-load current draw of 1.4 A. It delivers a maximum flow of 89 cfm and can pull a maximum vacuum of 53 in wc or build a maximum operating pressure of 59.8 in wc. The 1.4 A nameplate current at 575V AC means the branch circuit can be sized with a standard 15 A protective device — no oversized feeder needed for this load. The 60 Hz frequency locks it to North American power grids; a 50 Hz supply will drop both flow and pressure proportionally.
Piping and enclosure — NPT ports, TEFC, IE3 efficiency
Both inlet and outlet are 1-1/2 in NPT female ports, which simplifies piping directly into standard schedule-40 or -80 threaded pipe without adapters. The aluminum housing carries a Totally Enclosed Fan-Cooled (TEFC) enclosure rated NEMA Premium IE3 — the IE3 efficiency class means it meets the North American mandatory efficiency level for continuous-duty motors, so it qualifies for utility rebate programs where applicable. Maximum ambient temperature is 104 °F with a maximum air temperature rise of 142 °F above ambient. In a 77 °F machine room, the discharge air can reach 219 °F — downstream piping and filtration must be rated for that continuous heat. Pilot-duty thermal protection is built in, so the blower can be wired through a standard motor starter with a separate overload relay.
