What this sensor brings to the job
The Omron E2E-X16MB1T12-R 5M is an M12 unshielded proximity sensor from the E2E NEXT series, giving you a 16 mm sensing distance with full IP69K protection—so it takes high-pressure washdown without blinking. Output is PNP, normally open, on a three-wire DC supply (10–30 VDC). The 5 m PVC robot cable is bend-resistant, which saves you having to add a connector or strain relief on a moving arm.
What the ratings mean for your machine
IP69K covers high-pressure washdown; IP67G covers oil-resistant submersion. IO-Link COM3 permits diagnostics and parameter changes. The 4x sensing range (16 mm from M12 body) provides installation leeway. Nickel-plated brass body and PBT sensing face hold up to cutting fluids and chips. The short body (47.1 mm overall) fits tight spaces on turret stops or clamp pockets.
Using it on the shop floor
Three-wire DC hookup: brown (10–30 VDC), blue (ground), black (PNP NO). The unshielded design allows flush or non-flush mounting in metal. The PVC robot cable handles robotic flexing.
