The E2EW-X12C218 2M is a shielded M18 inductive proximity sensor engineered for welding environments where magnetic fields from spot welders and resistance welders would normally cause false triggering. Its stainless steel face (SUS303) and body resist spatter, and the 4x range factor means the 12 mm nominal sensing distance holds equally for aluminum and steel – a practical advantage on mixed-metal assemblies where standard sensors would require a larger head or a different technology. The NPN NC output with 3-wire DC supply (10–30 VDC) mates directly to most PLC sink inputs, and the 2 m PVC cable gives enough reach to the panel without a junction box in moderate-distance runs. The IP67 seal allows washdown-grade installation; no secondary enclosure is needed for dust or hose-directed water.
