Panel fit and wiring constraints
The E5CC-QX1DUM-000 mounts into a 45 mm square panel cutout and seals to IP66 at the front face — the gasket sits behind the bezel, so the cutout edge needs to be clean for the seal to hold against washdown. Termination is via an 11-pin octal socket (not included), so the wiring harness terminates at the socket base, not the controller body; swapping the controller leaves the field wiring undisturbed. Supply is 24 VAC/DC, which can share the same control transformer or DC bus as the PLC cabinet. The dual-colour LCD shows process value and setpoint in two rows (0.600" and 0.280" character heights).
Input and output capability
The controller accepts RTD and ten thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) covering –200 °C to 2300 °C, plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC linear process signals. That range handles everything from cryogenic RTD loops to high-temp kiln thermocouples on one unit — just reconfigure the input type in software. Outputs are a relay and a voltage pulse for an external SSR. The relay handles on/off or alarm duty up to its contact rating; the SSR drive lets the controller switch a solid-state relay for faster cycling on electric heaters without wearing out a mechanical contact. Control method is selectable between on/off and proportional (PID) with auto-tune. For most process loops — ovens, extruder zones, packaging seal bars — the PID mode with auto-tune gets the loop stable in a few cycles without manual gain tweaking.
