What the E5CC-QX2ASM-802 brings to the panel
The E5CC-QX2ASM-802 is an Omron E5CC series 1/16 DIN process controller that accepts RTD, thermocouple (Types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W), 0–20 mA, or 0–10 VDC inputs — spanning -200°C to 2300°C plus analog process signals. That means one SKU covers most temperature loops and a fair share of pressure/level retransmit signals, so you can standardise the BOM position across multiple machine types. The dual relay outputs handle on/off or PID control of contactors or solenoid valves, while the voltage pulse output drives an external SSR directly — no interposing relay needed for the SSR leg. This is the common configuration for a heater zone: one relay for alarm or cool, the SSR output for the heating element.
Comms, cutout, and environmental seal
RS-485 with CompoWay/F and Modbus protocols is built in — no add-on comms module to order separately. The Modbus RTU link lets a PLC or SCADA read PV, setpoint, and status, and write setpoint or mode changes over the same two wires that carry the loop. The IP66 front-panel seal means the controller survives washdown spray and dust ingress when mounted in a panel with the gasket compressed. The 45.00 mm x 45.00 mm square cutout is the standard 1/16 DIN hole — drops into the same punch as any E5CC or legacy E5CS without panel rework. The dual-colour LCD backlight shows four characters per row, with a 0.600" (15.20 mm) upper row for PV and a 0.280" (7.10 mm) lower row for SV or status — readable from across a machine cell.
