What the universal input actually saves you
The E5CC-TQX3A5M-003 accepts RTD, thermocouple types B/E/J/K/L/N/PLII/R/S/T/U/W, plus 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC process signals — so you can stock one controller for a whole plant's worth of sensors instead of juggling six different order codes. That -200°C to 2300°C span covers cryogenic chambers right up to furnace thermocouples. Three relay outputs handle on/off or alarm functions, and the voltage pulse output drives an external SSR directly for PID control — no extra interposing relay needed between the controller and the heater contactor.
Modbus RTU and the heater fault check
RS-485 communication with both CompoWay/F and Modbus protocol means this controller talks to any PLC or SCADA that speaks Modbus RTU — no proprietary gateway required. The 100-240 VAC supply range lets it run on whatever line voltage your panel already carries. Built-in heater fault detection monitors the load current via an external CT and flags a broken heater or SSR short before the process drifts. For a small shop running a single oven or extruder barrel, that one feature can save a batch before you even know there's a problem.
The IP66 front face handles washdown splashes and dusty control cabinets; the screw terminals are accessible without pulling the controller from the panel. Dual-line LCD shows process value (0.600" digits) and setpoint (0.280" digits) simultaneously — four characters each row, so you see PV and SP at a glance without scrolling.
