Panel fit and output configuration
The E5EC-QX4A5M-010 sits in a panel cutout 92mm wide by 45mm high – rectangular, not the 48x48 square of the E5CC family. If your BOM or panel layout expects that smaller footprint, this controller doesn't drop in without a new punch. Four relay outputs and a voltage pulse for an external SSR give you independent control loops plus alarm or event handling. Heater fault detection is built in, so you don't need a separate current transformer module for monitoring each zone. It accepts RTD, thermocouple (B/E/J/K/L/N/PLII/R/S/T/U/W), 0 ~ 20mA, or 0 ~ 10VDC inputs and runs on 100 ~ 240VAC. The IP66 face makes it washdown-safe in food or pharma lines.
Compared to the E5CC series (E5CC-CX3A5M-005)
Heater fault detection is absent on the E5CC-CX3A5M-005; the E5EC adds it as a standard feature along with an event input for remote lockout or setpoint shift. Both are active and accept the same sensor types, but the cutout size is the hard constraint. If your panel is already punched for the 92x45 shape, the E5EC is the direct fit. If it's 48x48, you're looking at a different bracket or a panel rework.
Wiring and mounting
Screw terminals accept stranded or solid wire. Power, sensor, and output wiring land on the rear connector block – no plug-in base, so pull the terminal screws before panel removal. Panel cutout is 92 x 45mm with the gasket providing the IP66 seal. Mounting bracket is included; tighten the two screws evenly to avoid warping the bezel.
