What this controller does on your panel
The Omron E5EC-TQQ4A5M-019 is a 1/16 DIN-sized process and temperature controller from the E5EC-T series, accepting inputs from RTDs, thermocouples (types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W), 0-20mA, or 0-10VDC signals — covering most industrial temperature and analog process loops without needing a signal conditioner. It runs on a universal 100-240VAC supply, so it drops straight into a panel fed from line voltage without an external power supply module. The output stage gives you four relay outputs for on/off or alarm duties plus two voltage-pulse outputs for driving external SSRs — enough to handle a heating/cooling split with alarm annunciation on the same unit.
IP66 front — washdown-ready panel face
The front panel carries an IP66 rating, meaning it's dust-tight and protected against hose-directed water — suitable for food-processing, washdown, or outdoor cabinet installations where the controller face gets sprayed. Panel cutout is rectangular at 92.00mm x 45.00mm, the standard 1/16 DIN footprint, so it retrofits into existing cutouts from other 1/16 DIN controllers without panel rework. Screw-terminal connections on the rear keep wiring straightforward for panel builders; no special crimp tooling needed.
Event input and heater fault detection
An event input lets you switch between two setpoints or trigger a remote hold/run from a PLC dry contact — useful for recipe changeovers without touching the front panel. Heater fault detection monitors current draw on the load side and flags a broken heater or SSR short — a common failure mode in electric furnaces and extruder bands that otherwise runs unnoticed until product drifts out of spec.
