Universal input, four relay outputs
The Omron E5EC-TQX4A5M-010 is a panel-mount process and temperature controller from the E5EC-T series. It accepts a wide range of inputs — RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC process signals — so one part number covers most loop types on a machine. Outputs are four relay contacts plus a voltage pulse for driving an external SSR. That gives you three alarm or event outputs plus the main control output, or two stages of heating/cooling with alarms.
The cutout is 92.00 mm × 45.00 mm, the standard 1/4 DIN horizontal format. Screw-terminal connections on the rear; no special tooling needed for installation. The front panel carries an IP66 rating — dust-tight and protected against hose-down. Suitable for food-processing or washdown zones where a standard controller would fail from moisture ingress through the bezel.
Heater fault detection and event input
Built-in heater fault detection monitors the load current via an external CT and flags a broken heater or SSR short before the process drifts out of spec. The event input lets a PLC or limit switch remotely switch the controller between two setpoints or start/stop control.
