Universal input, 24 V supply, four-relay output
The Omron E5EC-TQX4D5M-019 is a 1/4 DIN process and temperature controller accepting RTD, thermocouple (Types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W), and analog signals (0–20 mA, 0–10 VDC) over a span from -200°C to 2300°C. It runs on a 24 VAC/DC supply, which is common in control panels where a 24 VDC bus is already present for PLCs and sensors — no need to pull a separate 100–240 VAC feed. The output stage gives you four relay contacts plus a voltage pulse for driving an external SSR. That combination covers both on/off and PID control of resistive heaters, solenoid valves, or contactor coils, while the SSR drive handles fast-cycle loads like a solid-state relay on an electric heater bank.
Heater fault detection and event input onboard
Built-in heater fault detection monitors the load current via an external CT and flags a broken heater or SSR short before the process drifts. The event input lets a PLC or limit switch remotely switch the controller between two setpoints or start/stop control — useful for recipe changeovers or interlocking with a safety circuit. The tri-color LCD backlight shows the PV, SV, and status characters in three rows (18 mm, 11 mm, and 7.8 mm high). The IP66-rated front panel withstands washdown in food or chemical processing environments — the gasket seals the bezel, not just the display window.
Panel cutout and mounting
The rectangular cutout is 92.00 mm × 45.00 mm — the standard 1/4 DIN footprint. Screw-terminal connections on the rear accept up to 14 AWG; no special crimp tooling needed.
