Five relay outputs and universal input for multi-zone control
This E5EC-TRX4A5M-008 carries five relay outputs — enough to drive a three-stage heater bank plus an alarm and a cooling fan, all from one controller. The universal input accepts RTD, nine thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, R, S, T, U, W), plus 0-20 mA or 0-10 VDC process signals, so it covers everything from a 200°C oven to a 2300°C furnace. The RS-485 port speaks both CompoWay/F and Modbus protocols — tie it into a PLC or SCADA network without a protocol converter. On/Off or PID control method is selectable per loop; the tri-color LCD shows three rows of four characters each, with the largest digits at 18 mm high readable from across a panel.
IP66 front panel and heater fault detection for wet process areas
The front face carries an IP66 rating — dust-tight and protected against hose-directed water, which makes this controller a candidate for food processing, washdown stations, or outdoor cabinet installations. The event input and heater fault detection feature monitors current draw on electric heaters and flags a broken element or SSR short before the process drifts. Operating range is -10°C to 55°C, so it lives inside a non-conditioned enclosure in most plant-floor environments. The panel cutout is 92.00 mm x 45.00 mm — the standard 1/4 DIN footprint — and it mounts with screw terminals that accept up to 14 AWG field wiring.
