The 25mm detection capability means it reliably catches a finger or hand reaching into the guarded area — that's the standard finger/hand detection threshold per IEC 61496-2, not a fine-resolution finger sensor. The 300mm protective height and 20mm beam pitch (15 beams total) define the vertical zone it covers; the 0.2m to 9.0m operating range gives you flexibility in how far the emitter and receiver sit apart, so it fits both compact machinery and wider access points.
Built-in blanking and muting functions let you configure fixed or floating object bypass and presence sensing for material handling, so you don't need an external controller for those logic decisions. Mounting brackets and alignment aids are typical for this class; plan for the 300mm column height plus clearance for the emitter and receiver heads.
Signal integrity and installation notes
The emitter and receiver communicate via synchronized pulsed infrared. Keep the cables separated from VFD or motor power cables by at least 100mm to avoid noise injection into the safety output. The 24 VDC supply should be clean and within tolerance; a shared supply with inductive loads can cause dropouts that the curtain interprets as an interruption. Check the shield termination at the panel end only — floating the field end keeps ground loops out of the safety relay or PLC input card.
