What it catches and why it matters
The Omron K8AC-H21PN-FLK is a dedicated heater element detector — it monitors the current drawn by a resistive heating load and flags a fault when the current drops outside the set window, meaning a broken heater element or a failed SSR that leaves the load unpowered. The input range of 0.20 ~ 2.20 A covers small to mid-size heaters typical in injection molding, packaging seal bars, and process ovens.
DIN-rail integration and communication
Mounts on standard DIN rail (snap-on) and terminates via spring terminals — no screw tightening, which speeds panel wiring and stays tight under vibration. The RS-485 interface uses Omron's CompoWay/F protocol, so the detector reports heater current and fault status to a PLC or HMI over a two-wire bus without running separate alarm wires back to the controller.
Power and environment
Runs on 85 ~ 264 VAC supply. The 4-digit red LED display shows the measured current in real time.
