The Schneider Electric A9R52240 is a 2-pole Acti9 iID residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) rated for 40 A continuous load with 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity. That 30 mA threshold is the standard for general socket-outlet and personnel protection circuits — it trips fast enough to prevent ventricular fibrillation under IEC 61008-1.
Terminals accept 1–35 mm² rigid or 1–25 mm² flexible copper; strip length 14 mm, tighten to 3.5 N·m. IP20 finger-safe with the modular enclosure in place, IP40 inside the panel — fine for dry indoor distribution boards, not for washdown areas.
