Rated 630 A at 50 °C, it is sized for high-current switchboards and main feeders in industrial and commercial power distribution. This is a manually operated frame without an integrated trip unit (protection type: without protection). The buyer adds a separate control unit (e.g., Micrologic) to set the protection curves.
At 440 V the Icu drops to 130 kA; at 500/525 V it is 100 kA — still very high, but the voltage derating is real and governs the application. The 630 A rating at 50 °C ambient means no temperature derating is needed up to that ambient. Above 50 °C the frame must be derated per the manufacturer's curve. Mechanical durability is 10,000 cycles; electrical durability ranges from 2,000 cycles at 690 V AC In to 4,000 cycles at 440 V AC In/2. For a main breaker that cycles rarely (once a week), that is effectively life-of-installation. For a frequently switched load (daily), the electrical endurance at the actual operating voltage and current should be checked against the duty cycle.
Fixed mount on a backplate, with 70 mm connection pitch. The frame is 210 mm wide, 224 mm high, 147 mm deep — fits standard switchboard cubicle compartments.
Lifecycle stage is marked as current — the ComPacT NS630b new generation is Schneider's active platform, not a phased-out legacy line.
