The C10N3TM100 is a 3-pole ComPacT NSX100N moulded-case circuit breaker from Schneider Electric, rated 100 A at 40 °C with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit. It carries a 50 kA Icu breaking capacity at 415 V AC 50/60 Hz per IEC 60947-2, making it a standard choice for distribution panels where fault levels are moderate and the load profile is general-purpose — motor circuits, lighting, or mixed feeder duty.
At 480 V AC the rating is still 50 kA (per UL 60947-4-1), and at 600 V AC it drops to 10 kA. For a 480 V distribution panel fed from a 1500 kVA transformer, available fault current typically runs 35–45 kA; this breaker covers that.
The 105 × 161 × 86 mm footprint fits standard MCCB cutouts.
Electrical durability and thermal dissipation
Rated for 50,000 mechanical cycles and 30,000 electrical cycles at 440 V In (full rated current). At half-load (In/2) the electrical life extends to 50,000 cycles. Power dissipation is 8.8 W per pole — 26.4 W total at full load. That heat must be considered in enclosure sizing; a packed panel with multiple breakers at full rating may require forced ventilation or derating above 40 °C.
