80 A thermal-magnetic MCCB for distribution panels
The Schneider Electric C11E3TM080L is a ComPacT NSXm 3-pole moulded-case circuit breaker rated 80 A at 40 °C, with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit and a breaking capacity of 16 kA at 415 V AC (performance level E). The 9-module wide (81 mm) body mounts on a backplate in horizontal or vertical orientation, and the front-facing Everlink terminals accept 2.5 to 95 mm² rigid or stranded aluminium/copper conductors.
Above that temperature, derate per the thermal curve. The TM-D trip unit combines a thermal bimetal for overload protection (inverse-time) and a magnetic coil for short-circuit protection (fixed instantaneous trip), so no separate adjustment is needed for standard distribution feeders.
The breaker occupies 9 module pitches (81 mm wide, 137 mm high, 80 mm deep) and mounts on a backplate — not a DIN rail, so plan for direct panel mounting with the flat back. The Everlink lug terminals accept a wide wire range: 2.5 to 95 mm² for rigid or stranded aluminium/copper, and 2.5 to 70 mm² for flexible copper. Connection pitch is 35 mm with spreaders, 27 mm without. The toggle control and front-facing connections simplify panel layout, and the green flag signals auxiliary contact presence. IP40 front-face protection suits enclosed distribution boards; IK07 impact resistance handles incidental tool contact during commissioning.
