ComPacT NSXm 50 A — panel fit and interrupting duty
The breaker is suitable for isolation — the mechanism provides visible gap confirmation when the toggle is in the off position, which satisfies the isolation requirement of EN/IEC 60947-2. Mounts on a backplate with front-connect terminals accepting compression lugs or busbars. The 108 mm width occupies 12 module pitches of 9 mm. Neutral is on the left; the housing is grey (RAL 7016).
Above that temperature, the thermal element derates — if your enclosure runs hotter, the effective ampacity drops. The TM-D trip unit provides thermal-magnetic protection: the thermal bimetal handles overloads (slow response, inverse time), and the magnetic coil clears short-circuits (instantaneous above a threshold). At lower voltages the interrupting capacity is higher; at higher voltages it may be lower. Electrical durability is specified at 20,000 cycles at 440 V at half rated current, and 10,000 cycles at 440 V at full rated current. These are the rated life under load — expect fewer cycles if the breaker trips frequently on fault.
