The Schneider Electric C11H4TM100B is a ComPacT NSXm moulded-case circuit breaker rated 100 A at 40 °C, 4-pole, with a 70 kA interrupting capacity at 415 V AC (H performance level). It uses a thermal-magnetic TM-D trip unit for overcurrent and short-circuit protection on distribution networks.
The TM-D trip unit is fixed thermal-magnetic — no interchangeable rating plugs. Use it for cable/ busbar protection, switchboard feeders, or distribution sub-mains. Pollution degree 3 (IEC 60664-1) and overvoltage category III mean it is rated for fixed industrial installations where conductive pollution or transient overvoltages (e.g. from upstream switching) are expected — typical for a main distribution panel in a factory, not a clean-room control cabinet.
Physical integration
Mounts on a backplate (not DIN rail) — the 108 mm wide, 137 mm high, 80 mm deep footprint occupies 12 module pitches at 9 mm each. Connection is front-to-front via compression lugs or busbars; neutral is on the left. The IP40 enclosure and IK07 impact rating suit enclosed panel mounting where tools or dropped parts may strike the breaker face.
Mechanical endurance is 20,000 cycles; electrical endurance is 20,000 cycles at 440 V at rated current (In/2) and 10,000 cycles at In — figures that matter for a breaker that sees regular switching, not just fault protection.
