At 440 V AC the Icu drops to 20 kA, and at 500 V AC to 15 kA — so for a 480 V line (common in North American 480Y/277 V systems) the available fault current must be verified against the 15 kA limit. The breaker is Category A (no intentional short-time delay), which simplifies coordination with downstream devices but limits selectivity with upstream breakers in high-fault scenarios.
The thermal element tracks RMS heating for overloads; the magnetic element picks up instantaneous short-circuits.
The 140 mm width and 161 mm height fit standard ComPacT NSX panel cutouts. IP40 enclosure protection (no ingress of tools or small wires) and IK07 impact resistance are adequate for indoor switchboards and distribution boards.
